Tao obtained his B.Sc. in Physics from Peking University in 2023. His research interests mainly center on condensed matter experiments in topological and correlated systems. Specifically, Tao would like to design, synthesize and study quantum materials that hold novel phases to understand the physics of collective electrons and emergent phenomena. He employs tools including magnetometry, transport and scattering to elucidate the interesting properties of crystals, and he is excited about working on new techniques during PhD research. In his spare time, Tao enjoys music, photography and traveling.
